- 1 STOP: The Sforzesco Castle

One of the most famous monuments in Milan, it has seen long historical vicissitudes during the past years. It was demolished, then rebuilt several times, embellished and restored to become a symbol of both happy and dramatic events that are to be found in the historical background of the city.
Walk down through Via Dante, the historical street that joins the Castle with Mercanti Square.
- 2 STOP: Mercanti Square
Miracously a corner of the old Milan is still preserved intact here-it is hard to believe that the traffic and the skyscrapers are just a step away.
The square is completed by the Baroque Palatine School Building and the Gothic House of Panigarola Family, next to each other in a fine contrast of styles.
And finally, right before the La Loggia degli Osii is the crowning touch - a charming 16th century building with columns and trabeation added in the 18th century.
- 3 STOP: Duomo Cathedral www.duomomilano.it
The most outstanding example of Gothic-Lombard architecture, the Duomo dates back to 1300. It was built on the wishes of Gian Galeazzo Visconti. This imposing religious building, second only to St Peter’s cathedral in Rome, houses almost 3500 statues that are spread over an area of almost 12,000 square meters. The tallest spire, which has the famous “Madonnina” on top of it, is 108 meters high. The statue of the Virgin Mary, the “Madonnina”, is covered with 3900 pieces of gold leaf.

You can access to the ‘Galleria Vittorio Emanuele’ on the left of the Square.
- 4 STOP: Galleria Vittorio Emanuele
Completed in 1877 based on a plan by Giuseppe Mengoni, this prestigious gallery, the most famous in Italy, is a symbol of Milan for many reasons: center of political and social life, this is also the place for you to do your shopping in the luxurious boutiques nearby, that form an harmonious group of buildings.
- 5 STOP: La Scala Theatre

Temple to Opera music, built at the end of the 1700s over the remains of the Church of Santa Maria della Scala, from which the theatre then took its name. Some of the greatest names in opera have made their debuts in this Theatre: Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Puccini and, in 1839, Giuseppe Verdi.
The La Scala theatre, famous worldwide, stands on one side of the beautiful square that carries the same name. In the center of the Square there is a monument to Leonardo da Vinci and on the other side there is the magnificent Palazzo Marini.
Come back to Enterprise Hotel : Tram n°1 stop in Via Manzoni, direction Piazza Castelli . Get off at the end of Corso Sempione.

Public transport: Tram n°1, stop in Corso Sempione, direction Duomo. Get off in Via Manzoni, just in front of “La Scala Theatre”.
The boutiques of the principal Italian and international stylists are situated in what is known as the “Quadrilatero della Moda” (the area that includes Via Montenapoleone, Via Borgospesso, Via Sant’Andrea and Via della Spiga).
As Via Manzoni regards, the street hosts Spazio Armani at no. 31. This is the Giorgio Armani’s multi-concept store where you can admire different showrooms such as: Emporio Armani, Armani Home and Armani Flowers, or just relax and sip an aperitif at the trendy Emporio Armani Cafè.
- 1 STOP: Via Montenapoleone where you can find, among the others, the ateliers of: Gucci, Versace, Etro, Salvatore Ferragamo, Fratelli Rossetti, Prada, Valentino, Loro Piana and Cartier.
- 2 STOP: Via della Spiga with: D&G, Sergio Rossi, Tod's, Gianfranco Ferré, Chopard, Bottega Veneta, Genny, Prada, Bulgari and Krizia.
- 3 STOP: Via Sant'Andrea, that includes the showrooms: Chanel, Fendi, Moschino, Armani, Kenzo, Hermés, Prada, Cesare Paciotti and Trussardi.
- 4 STOP: Corso Vittorio Emanuele II joins Piazza San Babila with Piazza Duomo, and begins with the Rinascente department store, the monument to the Milanese shopping that owes its name to the famous Italian writer Gabriele d'Annunzio. In Corso Vittorio Emanuele there are sophisticated label shops, such as Max Mara, Moreschi, Bruno Magli and Pollini, but also more popular labels such as H&M, Zara, Furla and Benetton.
- 5 STOP: Via Torino, which joins the Duomo Square together with Corso di Porta Ticinese. It is one of the most important shopping streets of the city. Here the shops’ range goes from the street wear to the sportswear, keeping in mind a glamorous touch with definitely affordable prices. So, do not feel surprised if the median age will seem you a bit lower. Foot Locker, Energy, Miss Sixty, Mango, Zara, Accessorize are only a few examples of the stores you can find here.
Come back to Enterprise Hotel : Tram n°1 stop in Via Manzoni, direction Piazza Castelli . Get off at the end of Corso Sempione.
